    I'm having lots of problems with the rad' fans on my car, trouble is, they work sometimes and then they dont! so have to keep one eye on temp gauge when driving! I've looked at relays, fuses, sender unit, wiggled every connection,not sure what to do next, anyone had a similar problem, need to get it fixed,springs here !

    I had exactly the same problem last week. Sometimes the fans would come on at 195 degrees as they're supposed to, and sometimes they wouldn't and the temp would get up to nearly 230 in slow traffic or if idling. I checked all the same things you mention above, but also found that the coolant level was low and needed a fair amount of topping up. That *seemed* to solve the problem. Anyway the car is in for service at the moment, and they're looking into the cooling problem, so if anything comes to light out of that, I'll post more info here.
