Hey guys, I know this topic has been covered many times (i.e. here: http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=109508), but I'm getting down to the nitty gritty on a final decision for upgrading my 89TR stock rims. Although I really, REALLY like Chiaroslag's 512TR Speciale rims, I'm still leaning towards the stock 512TR rims, and of course, new tires.

Therefore, I have 2 very specific questions:

    1. My Ferrari dealer is saying I only need spacers for the rear wheels to fit them on my 89 Testa. However, I've seen posts here where guys say front and back spacers are needed. Anybody have the correct answer, including the exact width of the spacers required??

    2. It seems many guys prefer Michelin Pilot Sports and Goodyear Eagle F1 tires over the Pirelli P Zero Rossa that my dealer would supply. Any final thoughts on this?

You will need 12mm spacer for the front and 22mm spacer for the rear. You must buy these from a special supplier who can also provide the lengthened wheel studs that you will need.

Try: http://www.hill-engineering.co.uk/homemainferrari.htm and click on the wheel spacer kit.

The ones you need are the WS-KIT-01 - 512TR Wheels to Testarossa - £280.00 from Hill Engineering in the UK. I got mine from there. Beautiful work and no problems shipping to Australia.

As for tyres, nothing fits a Ferrari like a Michellin. I put Pilot Sport Cup II on my car and they are nothing short of awesome on the street and the track.
