512tr Rotor Question

    What are the two pins/studs that protrude from the rotor? They're located in the same area where the lugs thread into the rotor to hold the wheels on.

    The only logical thing that I can think they're used for is to help hold the wheel in place while your trying to thread the lugs into the rotor so you don’t have to muscle the wheel in place with one hand while trying to install the lugs with the other. Is that right? Thanks.

    They also hold the holes in the rotor in line with the holes in the mounting flange.

    Also, if the bolts were removed, you may find dirt/rust would fall behind the disc when the wheel is off, making a brake judder when re-fitting.

    I suspect this question arises from trying to fit different wheels?

    Just use a normal 8mm threaded bolt (countersink if necessary), if the peg is in the way.
