Could someone tell me the diffrence between the two testpipes offered. I physically viewed both and they are both straight through. The only diffrence is that the one with the bulge has a cylindrical perforated tube within it. Niether contain restriction within them(Straight through) Does the one with the bulge serve any necessary purpose?

The ones with the "bulge" (and thermocouple fitting) can (visually) fool an emission inspector ;) (i.e., they simulate a working cat's construction; whereas, the truly straight pipes don't)
