Check this car out- who know if it's authentic (the seller certainly doen't know) but it sure looks, uh, interesting! The seller is "selling the car for a woman who doesn't know the details of it", and has sold another car for a "woman (a widow) who doesn't know the details of it" in their recent auction history, so I'd assume this is not authentic and the seller uses the same story too many times which makes you wonder...

You can call it either a replica or a fake, as you choose...

It's up over $65K now- to me, the bidding at this price level doesn't make any sense based on the info provided...unless these bidders know something the general public does not... I think its a fake worth $5-10K...but if it's real, $65k would be cheap!

If you look at the pictures closely, it does have some interesting technical and period features.
The hand made intake manifolds are certainly interesting.

I think that if the car were genuine, it wouldn't be on eBay; it would trade hands privately, and us mortals would read about it perhaps in a car magazine 6 months after the transaction.
I saw the hardtop version on Victory by Design: truly stunning and rare.:)

Without getting into 4 pages of Alfa BB I can already tell you it is a fake. But it is a damn good one and it was made in Turin Italy. I know a guy that used to own it.

I live about 5 minute from Ft Washington - I drive through it almost every night. I left the seller a message - I REALLY want to see that car.

The car may be a "fake", but it is certainly a pretty nifty piece of machinery. I wouldn't be ashamed to have a hand built thing like that in my garage.
