    Ebay item 130076808813. It can't be a typo. (Who would pay $52k?) Is this a case of a hijacked seller name? BTW the last item sold by this guy was a $.99 USB cable.

    You'd think Ebay would have a little better handle on crooks that use them to scam people. The "only pre-approved bidders, email to be put on the list" thing is an obvious scam. I've "played along" before to see where it leads. You email and they tell you where to wire the money or they collect all your personal information (to make sure YOU are legit) before they tell you that the car is presently in say, Belgium or Mars or NIGERIA and if you can just share your rich uncle's bank account number (just as an act of good faith) they'll cut the price!

    You send a deposit because you get so excited and the deposit is so small you usually don't think twice about it and jump on it quick because you thnk you got the deal of the century.
