I've still got 2 months and 24 days to go And my car is in pristine condition because I've had nothing to do but clean and fix all the little things ..... I even cleaned, painted and polished all the underside of the car Poofter polisher comes to mind but I still have penchant for women
You've talked me into it ..... hand me the razor blades , ..... which way do you slice the veins again ?? Beetlemania, is this the GG run again ??
Whilst there is a difference in klms and model year, if you sort by "Price, Low to High", the Autos are cheaper than the Manuals. http://www.carpoint.com.au/all-cars/results.aspx?q=(((Service%3d%5bCarsales%5d%26(((SiloType%3d%5bBrand+new+cars+in+stock%5d%7cSiloType%3d%5bDealer+used+cars%5d)%7cSiloType%3d%5bDemo+and+near+new+cars%5d)%7cSiloType%3d%5bPrivate+seller+cars%5d))%26(Make%3d%5bPorsche%5d%7b%26%7d((Model%3d%5b911%5d%7b%26%7dSeries%3d%5b996%5d)%7b%26%7dBadge%3d%5bTurbo%5d)))%26BodyStyle%3d%5bCoupe%5d)&sortby=%7ePrice These engines don't have the IMS bearing and cylinder bore issues of the naturally aspirated 996s and 997s either. Will you have yours in time for GG?
Don't know much about these... Aussie delivered?? (Not too sure if there is a grey market on this model) Sounds like HUGE bang for your buck.
No, it's the one where you engage your brain before putting your hand on the keyboard Tiptronic = Benz auto tranny Sportomatic = Citroen tranny with automated clutch
Nope, I remember reading in sports car world about the tiptronic gearboxes on the 2.4 911s MANY years ago A quick google and wiki says : Manumatic - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia tiptronic nothing to do with Benz .......... you must be pre-occupied with other things
You never read about Tiptronic in relation to 2.4 911's - they were Sportomatic. The technology was licenced from Citroen, who pioneered it in the DS. 911 Tiptronic is an electronic gear selector connected to an automatic 'box sourced from ZF. 928's used a Benz box.
