Pressing button on fob has no effect. No door lock/unlock No starting (no cranking) Main battery fully charged Battery for chirper has been dead for a while. Replaced the battery in the fob with no change in condition. Followed instructions in little manual (have not tried manually entering code). Any ideas? Thanks
Tom, does the red LED on the fob light when you press the button? The terminals which connect to the battery sometimes have poor contact. Also, the fob might be out of sync with the car's alarm ECU. Press the fob at least three times in rapid succession ro resync it. Do the same if you try to use another fob after a long time. The fact that the siren's battery is dead shouldn't be a problem, you just don't get the chirps. You can still tell that the immobilizer is disengaged when the red LED on the dashboard is not flashing (although it will stay on once the engine is running). Stefano
Thanks Stefano, Yes,the LED on the fob illuminates, so I think I have good contact and I've tried re-synching the fob with 3 button pushes within 10 seconds with no help. The fact that the driver's door window doesn't go up and down with door opening/closing is a clue?
Tom, did you get it working? I've recently read about resetting the inertia fuel cut-out switch: http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/sho...3&postcount=15 Stefano
I solved the problem Loose battery connection, positive side on main battery. Tightened that up, re-synched the fob and everything came to life. Thanks for the help!
