550 at Barrett Jaguar San Antonio

It was on the Barrett site several months ago and has recently returned. Someone else may have had it in the short term as well?

 

I'm originally from San Antonio and I bought a new Lotus Esprit v8 from Barrett, back in 1999. They are a 1st class dealer. I would do business with them again if opportunity arises.

It was mine. Recent major at 7.5k. New PS2's same time.Rear spacers. Perfect. Traded on my 599. I miss it as do my kids. Friend owned it for about a year, traded on 430. I considered buying it back. Very late production 550, a couple 575's with lower vin's. Talk to Tony. Give it a good home.

Lee, how different is the 599 from the 550? Are they totally different at 8/10s?

Seriously, logrhythmic difference. As much as I loved the Maranello, as fast as it can be made to go, the 599 is another league. It is 15mph faster in same situation than 550. I saw 190 that felt like 165, done far easier, and I didn't know until I looked at trip odo later. Same at any speed, and ease of use is amazing. This car will kill people who lack skill or judgment. I'd say more but I'm at meeting on iPhone.

 

I met the Owner of the Dealership last Saturday, as well as Sfumato, with the 599GTB, what a wonderful time!

It speaks volumes IMO, this car is detailed and in the middle of the showroom floor! Surrounded by a court of 430s...

It truly looked in 'as new' condition to my eye, as noted it has the modular wheels and several very fine interior trim options...buy it, before I sell one of my kids or all of my 308GTBs to upgrade!

 

Yep, "190MPH" on the trip odo.....I saw it myself!!!!
