Can anyone tell me what colors or trims they know of on the roll hoops on the 550 Barchetta Pininfarina?
I realize they came as standard in black. I imagine they were also available with matching leather trim. What about chromed, or painted to match the body color?

(The reason why I'm asking, in case anyone wants to know, is I'd like to repaint the hoops on my model, which broke off during transportation.)

I've been on FChat for a while now, but I usually hang around the collectibles section, as I'm a (small-time) model collector.

Scale model... definitely NOT as strong as the 1:1 scale model. ;-)

    Thanks for the photo, dingo.
Looks good with the matching leather roll hoops.

I could have been more specific, Doody. i was talking about the 1:18-scale Hotwheels model. (Wish i could afford the real thing, but then i imagine i'd be a bit more peeved about parts breaking off.)

    Shalom !

No big deal, let's hope one day you'll be able to afford the real thing ! You still have time aplently.

My guess is get the model again, and try to get some compensation from the shipping company

The model was damaged when i moved it with me from Montreal to Israel, so unfortunately I have no recourse but to fix it. Some crazy-glue should do the trick (but I'm thinking of painting the roll hoops in body colour before reattaching them).

Thanks for the personalized greeting, Gougoul. Nice touch. Given that you're in Geneva, I'll reciprocate with a "Bonjour!", though in Switzerland it could just as easily be "A Guten Tag" or "Buon Giorno" (I have no clue about Romansh, or for that matter how to spell it).

    I see.

Too bad, you can't blame anyone for that but yourself :(

Thanks as well for the greeting, forget romansch, it's only spoken in 2-3 "cantons", but nowhere in the civilized world !

Wish you luck with fixing the hoops.
