From my experience I know that the engine bonnet and front fenders are Aluminum. Front & rear bumpers are a kind of fiber glass or plastic composite. Not sure about the doors and the rest of the body, but if it attracts a magnet then it is steel, if not then it is Aluminum. Regareds.
Joona- All body panels are aluminum except for the doors, which are steel, as GTB stated. Taz Terry Phillips
So the bonnet and boot lids are aluminium? Strange, one of the things I was told to look out for when buying, was rust on the front lip of the bonnet and base of the boot lid. How can that be an issue with an aluminium part? Confused of London
JAB- Now there is some good advice for you. Never found any rust I bet. Take a refrigerator magnet and check to convince yourself. Mine is in the shop for servicing. Taz Terry Phillips
Joona- The spaceframe is steel. The first aluminum framed Ferrari streetcar was the 360. The basic Maranello chassis was based around the 456 chassis from the early 90s. Taz Terry Phillips
Compulsive clarification follows: Technically, aluminum does not rust. Rust is the process by which ferric metals (those based on iron) oxidize. Aluminum also oxidizes. but this is called corrosion. The reason that the difference may matter is that aluminum oxide (aluminum "rust") coats the surface of the aluminum and helps protect it from further oxidation. Iron containing metals aren't protected by iron oxide, so the process continues until you have powder. I need to go get a life now...
