Can anyone who has worked on or replaced a set of 550 brake lines tell me if these look close to what the oem lines are like as well as the fittings and clips?
I kow this soundes wierd, but I am having these made and my car has been at the dealer for a month and is still there so I can not check to see if they are similar. The manufacturer sent me this picture and asked how they looked. They are remaking them because they forgot to add the protective outer vinyl coating. There are two lengths, one set 15.74 and the other 14.50 about.
    thanks

    Yep, they look about right.

Metric M10x1mm pitch thread. When fitting, be careful to get good seal in taper. Any previous overtightening can distort the steel fixed pipe flares and make them hard/impossible to seal.

Gary, if you find your self going into a brick wall with that supplier, try StopTech in California. They make custom D.O.T. stainless steel braided teflon brake lines that do have the clear vinyl coating.
