    Hello - I have a 550 and the trunk release switch is defective. Upon closer inspection one of the black tabs of the activation mechanism is broken.
    Has anyone found a good source of these switches?

    Ok. I will see if it is still in my garage tomorrow. I will notify you. I bought a spare dash console that I put into my car. Those switches were slightly better that the ones I had. So I have a complete set of extra switches...

    I found a fuel door opener switch, but not a trunk opener one... but it is the same spring loaded thing. Maybe you can relocate the sticker or use the internals or something from my switch? It is in fairly good condition!

    Yes, I can definitely use this, swap the outer casing and it will work. Happy to pay for this.

    The fuel door and bonnet release are both the same switch type (momentary). So, aside from the ICON and the printed part numbers, they are the same switch. The icon is laser etched graphics, not a sticker. It is in fact, a removable part from the switch housing.

    We have reproduced the internal spring and detents that all of these switches use as so many people open them and lose the parts.

    Assembling these switches requires a custom tool - no way to do it without one.
