550 - Clear Side Markers

    i never paid much attention, but always assumed that the two side markers on the 550 were just reflectors. i was poking through the parts manual today and lo and behold, they are not - they are powered lights. y'learn somethin' new every day!

    i always swapped clear side markers (white/clear lens with a colored bulb) on my 911s and very much preferred the look.

    can one get parts to effect this change on the four lights in question on a 550?

    do the non-NA cars come this way like the euro-911s?

    Hiya Doody

    Euro cars have no side markers save for a small amber trafficator behind vents near PF badge. Good idea, I have done similar to P-cars/BMWs (they kindly put them on M cars anymore).

    I too was undert he impression that they are simple reflectors.
