What is the correct 550 cooling level?

    Workshop manual states:

    A) Correct coolant level is between 6 to 8 cm from the top of the filler neck in the expansion tank, noted on page B66 of workshop manual.

    B) Then this manual states 4 cm (40 mm) from the top of the filler neck in the expansion tank, attached below...

Which is correct?? This is a large margin of differentiation....
    Thanks

To be precise in the manual states..

Check the level of the coolant in the tank
as prescribed, only when the engine is
cold; the level must not fall below 2.8 to
3.1 inc (6 to 8 cm) from the level of the coolant filler

As far as I am concerned, so long as I can see some coolant in the expansion tank when it's cold ( and I wouldn't take the top off when it's hot anyway), that's fine by me.
