I need a 550 person to look at their door hinge area. There is an arm that connects to the body with an aluminum split pin.The arm is about midway between the top and bottom hinge. This is with keeps the door from a wild swing. My pin broke and I bought new replacement along with a bolt that is show on the parts diagram.
Neither of my doors had bolts, just pins (one broken). I can't figure out why the diagram shows a bolt. The bolt I received is larger in diameter than the pin. Why would you need a bolt when the pin is suppose to break away, I guess. Funny how the guys that build the cars (which we love) don't seem to talk to the parts diagrams guys. Oh well. that's ferrari.
    Thanks

10,56,32 are what I ordered as per the diagram. I thought it was funny as my other door works fine and just has the aluminum pin.
Looks like 10 (pin) is all I needed. Your photos are just like mine.
What happened was a loud noise several times over the doors travel. I assumed some lube was needed. Then I noticed 1/2 of the pin was missing. When I removed the last piece, the flat arm went into the door.
So, off we go to open the door panel. I'm getting good at it as we've had trouble with the door latch. It would just lock all by itself.
Anyway, when we removed the "strap/door check" the only thing I could assume caused the noise was a cracked nylon roller. We haven't replaced it yet, tomorrow is the big day.
    I'll post the results.
Very nice of you to post the photos.
I'll send "latch" photos if I can figure out how to do it.
    Thanks, John
