Hello everyone, I just bought a 2000 550 Maranello and the instrument lights are not working. The fuse under the passenger footwell is blown. I put in a new fuse and it blew again as soon as I turned on the lights, so there must be a short somewhere. Is this an inherent problem with these cars? Does anyone have a suggestion as to where to look first for the short?

    Thanks!

I never had the problem, I did change out all the inst. bulbs but no shorts.

I have a 97 550 that kept blowing the fuse that was linked to the opening of the trunk. Found that same fuse also handled several other electricals, including dome lights and cigar lighter. I found a dead short in the lighter connections, repaired and bingo. Look to see what else that fuse operates...might help.
