    That was my initial thought but as mentioned, the lighting with photos can really change how Beige or Cuoio come out in photos. The reason I think / thought it was beige is due to the contract to the Castoro carpets (not much contrast)

    I'm interested to learn about this "sticker from the leather manufacturer " - I didn't know cars had this from the factory. Perhaps you can post a photo for us to learn?

    Poltrona Frau did not produce the leather for 550s. Sounds like the client has no clue. Looks like Beige to me.

    The leather came from A factory located in Del Boca Vista !!! I have absolute positive unequivocal proof of this !! I think George's parents live there

    me too. Mike - you must have (or should develop) an easy friendship with a ferrari dealer that can run you a build sheet? (I have one pulled each time I seriously investigate buying a ferrari)

    Its pretty common for owners to not know what options and colors their car came with. Happens all the time. Build sheet is as definitive as ferrari gets (which is, of course, a "meh" level of certainty)

    Well, I never went looking for one but have torn many interiors apart. :) Plus, that era of car should be Connolly leather. I've got $100 bucks that says the seats have been recovered hence the tag ;) A photo of the horse on the head rest might provide addition clues. And, in a couple photos you can see some aftermarket speakers near the floor - perhaps the leather (and tag) are from those speaker boxes?

    Look at the stitches on the seats vs center console - very different.

    From what I can see, Ferrari started using alternate sources for leather in 1998, including Peltrona. Don't know what vehicles it was used in.

    Either way, the interior looks brand new.

    Just to add to this discussion: I had my dashboard out some 2 years ago (550 my 2000, crema leather) and there were multiple badges like the one earlier shown saying Poltrona Frau.

    No comment about the car for sale, only that I'd like to add more evidence of the tags and that at least some 550 interiors used Poltrona Frau. My car, 2001, has tags inside the door panels, as well as every panel in the back shelf area. I recently had to access the rear speakers and the quilted shelf, the 3rd brake light cover, the seat belt reel covers, B-pilars, and speaker covers, they all had the same Poltona Frau tag inside listing the interior colour scheme, which in my case is listed as NERO/BEIGE on the tag. I've attached a photo of one of my door panels. Sorry no close up of the tag.
