The most important thing is that you're happy with it ! I eventually settled on a 575m though people I respect rate the 550 extremely highly - horses for courses - I'm sure people keeping a 360/430/458/599/308gt4/b/s etc will say the same thing. So many cars, such little time to experience them hehe.....

No...I don't think so. Closest at the moment maybe be the maserati gran tourismo. 550/575 is perhaps the best car Ferrari has ever produced. The next closest would be the 328.
I agree.. For sure there are cars faster and more high tech, but I really enjoy the 550 A LOT. It is superfast and it has no gadgets. It is just beautiful, modern enough for me, has great sound, and is very elegant. It is very economical to use too. :-D
