Still looking for an alarm manual for my 550. Ran across this on ebay, seller does not know which Ferrari it applies to.

    Code # 659277200, cat # 1467/99 any ideas?

    Sark,
Thanks for the offer. I believe everything works, just not sure how. Just got my 2000 550 (first F car after 23 Porsches) and it was lacking the alarm manual which I'm told describes the operation of the alarm and immobilizer. Lots of beeps, I would just like to know what they mean.

Eric, I don't know what that means, but try this. Turn the battery switch off for 15 minutes and let the ECU reprogram the system then turn it on see what happens. I would try to post a copy a copy.

Eric- The alarm manuals are all the same, except for dates, for the Motronic 5.2 355s/456s through the Superamerica. The 612 and F430 introduced modern alarms and watch battery powered key/fob combinations.

The factory WSMs contain a good description of the alarm system's operation, too, and you can download them for free here.

Here is what the beeps mean.

$70 is the going rate for a manual, but I already told someone about this one so do not get into a bidding war for something that is worth about $69.95.

By coincidence posted a couple of hours before your post in the 360 area to download

    http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showpost.php?p=140418245&postcount=7

As far as I know it was the standard manual for all cars using this system ie 360 550 575 and also applies to late 355 I think

I am now enlightened. The downloads gave me all I needed. Thankfully the previous owner had recorded the pin # so I'm good to go.
Thanks all for your kind assistance. I hope to be able to contribute as I become more educated.

Jimmie- Affirmative, you are correct. The 5.2 355s and 456s through the Superamerica had the same alarm system and the Alarm Manuals for all those cars are essentially identical.
