It's cold here in London at the moment ! In the mornings when I pull out of my parking space and engage full lock, i'm getting some grinding feeling thhrough the steering wheel. Feels like the wheels are rubbing against the wheel arches (they're not. I checked). I'm thinking it's just sluggish power steering fluid caused by the low temeratures. it seems to stop once things get up to operating temperature. But i wondered if anyone else had experienced a similar feeling? How can I check that the fluid isn't low, checked the manual but couldn't spot it. Any advice greatly appreciated.
Acually ignore this. I should have searched first. There is a thread with most of the answers already running here http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=305918 Still wouldn't mind knowing how to check PS fluid level though (2000 550 Maranello)
Remove the cap and it has a dipstick with Min and Max marks. Fluid should be between those marks. Page 4.12 in the 2000 550 owner's manual. Download it and the workshop manual from the site below. http://www.ferraridatabase.com/The_Downloads/Downloads.htm Taz Terry Phillips
