    Red does for me too! Many other subdued colors highlight the lines and make it less shouting, but a red classic proportioned berlinetta looks always as an event for me amongst the grayscale of the other traffic here in italy...where it seems that no coloured car is sold anymore...:(

    Hi Taz, any chance you could post those 1997 550 numbers? I just bought the yellow 97 550 108955 and would love to know how prevalent yellow was that first yr!

    I know of six US 1997 model year 550s in yellow (including your car, obviously). So that's the minimum number although I doubt there are/were very many more.

    I don't know how many but I know of at least two Euro cars in Rosso Barchetta and six in Rosso Fiorano.

    Mike what an incredible pic… I initially thought it was a 1:18 scale model! Can you share details of how this pic was taken?

    I had a 1998 Rosso Barchetta 550. There was a guy keeping up with colors. He had located 11 around the world, and 3 in the US. To be clear the 3 I refer to is for the year 1998. But very few were in that color.

    Hey @Patek, by chance did you buy your 550 from Ferrari of Atlanta? If so, that may be the same Rossa Barchetta 550 I looked at during during my search in early 2017. It had just under 44k on it at the time. I flew down there to look at and drive 3 different 550s that were for sale in the ATL area at the time. I thought it was a very nice 550 for 44k, liked the color, and Ferrari of ATL had tons of documentation on it as they had sold and serviced it its whole life (IIRC). Drove very strong, too. Apparently the previous owner was president of the the ATL chapter of FCA. Anyway, ending up buying a 22k mile Nero Daytona 550 from Merlin.

    If it's not the same car, well, never mind... ;-)

    NE550 I kept it until late 2016, but it was car that came out of Florida, I bought it from FOF in 2012. Not sure. I could have sworn mine was close to 49,000 miles.
    Best,
    John

    At some point I went briskly thru the registry in Nathan’s book and I kept these notes which may or may not be accurate….

    116 total manual 575’s exported to the US.

    41 Rosso Corsa
    24 Grigio Titanio
    17 Nero
    14 Argento

    2 Azzuro Calfornia
    2 Giallo Modena
    1 Blu NART
    1 Verde Zeitweg

    on my phone I also have kept this note (which may or may not be accurate)…..

    550 numbers 3080 total
    USA total = 940?

    1998 = 173

    2000 = 269
    2001 = 137

    575 numbers 2064 total

    Eric- Hard to believe there were that many US spec 3 pedal 575Ms. There were only 177 LHD 575Ms total for all markets.

    133720 is a blue UK, RHD 575M F1 and I've seen it several times. The registry in Nathan's book came from F-Register and isn't reliable.

    I have 96 US-spec manual 575Ms, 78 Euro and 3 Japanese = 177 total in LHD, which matches Taz's number (although that's probably by luck!)

    Yes but it is a funny question to ask in a topic headed 550 Production ;)

    I have: 186 manual US F430s and 314 manual US F430 Spiders. That is not counting any that have subsequently been converted.
