I just changed the battery on my 2001 550 and need the radio code. How on earth do I find that? I've looked through all the files and can't find anything... Thanks in advance!

Contact Scott below with the serial number on the radio and he is a fellow FChatter and can give you the code. If it is a Sony, it does not need one.

Wow, that's fantastic! Thank you so much! How do I get the serial number? I took the plate off and don't see anything?

You will have to pull the radio. If you cannot do it yourself, most mechanices have a set of the tools that depress the spring steel bits holding the radio in. You can then read the serial number on the chassis. Write the code number in your warranty book, Alarm ECU PIN too, if you have it.

Thanks. I don't have either. It was my father's car and he left it to me when he passed away. For some odd reason, those numbers are no where to be found and kept all of that info. in the files. Ugh...

On some paperwork from a Ferrari dealership, it has a place on the top that says options and has a 4 digit code after "Radio:" Could it be that easy? I have to wait for it to reset, says "WAIT" due to my stupidity of trying random numbers...

Yup- It is usually a four digit code, sometimes five. Sounds like you are set. I think the wait period is somewhere between 20 minutes an and hour.

Is this source still valid? I need my radio code.

I guess this is the FIRST thing a new owner does?

    Hi slowwrench,

Below are instructions for getting the serial number without removing the Becker radio. It worked for me.

The radio is actually bolted to the central console, so just using the clips won't work. However, it's easy to get the console out by removing the one bolt under the ash tray, then lifting it out.

    Instructions:
Model 4372 and 6104: These radio models all have a four-digit Theft Security Code assigned based upon the radio serial number. The radio may revert to CODE in cases where the vehicle battery power is interrupted. When the security code is lost, the four-digit CODE number must be entered to reactivate. If the code was lost, Becker offered a submenu to allow you to view the serial without removing the radio.

Model 4372- With the radio turned on, press and hold the TP button for 10 seconds until BECKER 1 appears. Immediately rotate the right control knob two clicks clockwise. The serial number will display.

Model 6104 - With the radio turned on, press and hold the * button for 10 seconds until BECKER 1 appears. Immediately rotate the right control knob two clicks clockwise. The serial number will display.

Welcome - there's a code provider (littledaz) and an associated (very long) thread - maybe in the 360 section - once you have your serial ask there
