Looking for some help. Have the "SLOW DOWN" light flashing intermittently on my 2000 F550 and a bank shut down as a result. I know it refers to cat overheating. The right bank is the one that has shut down and so I am trying to trace what the culprit is.....the left hand thermocouple cable is badly worn so I have replaced that but same result. I have also switched over the two Catalytic Contoller ECUs that the thermocouples are plugged into but still the right bank is the one that has shut down which leads me to believe it is not the C'C' ECU that is at fault..... Thus my questions - is the bank that shuts down specific to the thermocouple that is reporting an issue? Do I require a ferrari tech to reset the ECU before it has a chance of working even if the new thermocouple / ecu combo is working fine? Obviously right now I am trying to get the problem to "switch banks" so I can isolate the culprit but so far am not having much success. Any guidance would be really appreciated!!
