I'm missing a trim piece for the 550 seats I have. #10 in the sport seat diagram.

Shows 64347200 as LH outer transmission cover.

There's also a number, 65602100, for the same part in carbon fiber.

I guess that would mean the 64347200 cover is not in carbon fiber?

Just seems odd because I don't recall seeing these seats with the outer shell/trim upholstered or anything other than exposed carbon fiber.

Carbon fiber was a separate option from the sports seats, but I am not sure how that option affected the sports seats themselves.

I believe the CF pkg added CF endcaps and such to the seats.

Henry- Affirmative, not in Ricambi's parts catalogs, but the CF parts were in Eurospare's. If you have the CF option with CF console, shift knob, etc, you need the CF part. Otherwise, just the plastic one. Unless you want to swap the other three, too, which gets kind of expensive. Learn something new every day. Will have to see if the same applies to the 575M CF sport seats.

I have all the CF option trim pieces for my 575M now, except the driver side door panel. Some off wrecked 575Ms, some fire sales on NOS parts, aftermarket CF paddles.

I could see the trim being optional on the power seats but if all sport seat shells were exposed carbon it seems odd that the trim could be optioned with/without carbon.

Was the non carbon just plastic or covered in leather? Can't say I've ever seen the sport seats without carbon trim pieces but I suppose anything is possible.

James- Should be the same as the mirror image piece on the passenger seat.

Like I said earlier, the CF option included a bunch of additional CF pieces and those on the seat were part of the deal. It was not just part #10 on the sports seats that was included in the CF option for the sports seats, but also #14 that had plain and CF versions. Those two covers most of the bigger flat pieces on the sports seats, since one of the knobs was already CF. There were two separate CF option packages, one for standard seats, and one for sports seats. The "complementary to sports seats" CF option package was cheaper than the one for standard seats, because they did not need the single large CF side pieces, just those small CF pieces.
