550 wheel spacers

I'm wondering if any of you 550 owners out there are running spacers with the factory modular wheels. I'm about to get new tires on my '01 (i'm the original owner) and was thinking of going to a 25mm spacer in the rear to improve handling and aesthetics. Any help is appreciated.
