    Hi everyone

Just registered so this is my first post.

I'm looking at buying a 550, but may have a problem fitting it through my garage door. Garage door is 2080mm(~82 inches). Ferrari Spec Sheet says 550 is 1935mm wide(~76 inches). So in theory should have 3 inches spare either side, however some manufacturers don't include the door mirrors in their specs. If this is the case with Ferrari then I may need a bigger garage.

So if there are any 550 owners with a tape measure handy, please let me know.

    Thanks

    Gareth

it's the mirrors that'll get you, no tape measure to hand but my garage door opening is 84.5" approx and I reckon there is no more than 1/2" spare so 83.5" at the mirrors, I guess you could fold them in, the car is well worth a small inconvenience, infact it's so good I'd knock the garage down to have one :)

Cheers Mark, by the sounds of things if I fold one mirror it will definitely fit.

A pic from the manual...doesn't seem to include mirrors, but they fold in pretty tight, so I'm sure folding one or both would take care of things. Let me see where that tape measure is...

Well, hard to get a precise measurement on how much they stick out past the widest part of the car (at the rear fender arch), but it looks like a max. of about 3 inches. on one side. Folding the mirrors in though definately tucks them inside the widest point of the car, so you're safe. Post pics when you get her! Good luck!
