Hi i have a 99 F550m in argento nuburgring (silver) and after nearly seven years of ownership, garaged, i have noticed what looks like bad rust appearing along the front edge of the bonnet, and the sills have started to shed their matt black paint, with what looks like water damage....anyone else had similar issues and what can i do about it, other than strip and respray?

Although the frame is steel, all body panels on the Maranello should be aluminum, and are welded to the frame using Feran. Since aluminum doesn't "rust" in the conventional sense (although it can oxidize), I would guess that you must be seeing something else, perhaps a breakdown of the paint compound? Might the car have been repainted without proper preparation of the aluminum surface for bonding?
