559 vs. 430 spider pls help

Bentley GT is to the 599 as is an elephant to a lion
The 430 Spider is a sweet little ride, essentially a boulevard cruiser -once again nowhere the equal dynamically of a 599. A 430 Scuderia is a different animal and I can see how that choice might be pertinent.

Question - have you ever driven a 599, and if so, for more than a test cruise around the block?

If you have you wouldn't be asking these question, from my POV.

Whatever you choose, it will be great, but the answer to your specific question from me is - the 599 unquestionably over the 430 Spider and the Bentley.

Get both 430 & 599

 

I had a 599, now have a 430 spider. I think the 599 is a great car, but lacking the open air an sound you get in the 430. I also hated having to refuel so often. Like on a long touring with 10-30, most of them being a v8, v12's have to fuel an extra 1 time to ride the same mileage. The 599 ride is high so it also makes you feel like you are driving a regular car. I always adored the 430 spider and happy that I have traded. My other issue was also the falling prices on the v8 as well. Since I bought the 430, it is still sold above what I paid, but the 599 has lost at least 20k+ during the 6 month.

430 spiders always turn heads as well, something I noticed more..., my 430 is biancos and 599 was rosso corsa so you can imagine.

Two very different cars with different driving styles and characteritics........I would get rid of the Bentley GT and buy the 599 instead which is a much more exciting GT car as well as buy the F430 Spider.

 

I can only feel jealous in this discussion between guys living in a nice ,"civilized" climate (like Tarek or Alex).
In Chicago,with the horrible traffic,snow or rain most of the year,Bentley will always make a better "daily" then the 599.
I tried,did not work for me.
That situation relegates 599 to a weekend toy only and for me a Scuderia will fit that purpose much better..

 

When I was under 40, I loved the 355. I also had a CS.

Something in me clicked when I got past 40 and I just fell in love with everything that the V-12 could offer. It is something that is hard to describe, but I can tell you in different terms. I have an M-5. When I drive it, I weave in and out of traffic and I keep it perpetually in sport mode.

I also have a Mercedes S-500. When I drive it, I lean back and take it easy. I turn on the CD and enjoy the relaxation.

In the 12 cylinder cars, (Enzo and F-50 excepted) you have a sense of power that you don't need to show. In the V-8s, they BEG you to drive them hard.

So, to answer, it depends on your overall temperament and what else you have to drive. If you have the Bentley, I'd go F-430, to compliment it. --unless you just can't live without the horses in the 599. Bentley and 430 gives you the best of both worlds.

Either way, you are still in heaven, and you have enough horsepower to outrun the devil.

 

.......Mark, Cairo is far from being a "civilized" climate. Traffic here is definitely worse than in Chicago, but then again, I would not drive any of those cars in our heavy daytime traffic, for that I have a beautiful Land Rover Discovery .

 

The V-12 will make your day, every day.

 

How the hell do you use the back seats on the GT ?

The 599 is way more Exclusive and has alot more Power.

 

i have all 3 and they are all perfect for what they were made for. enjoy!!

I've noticed the 599 is oriented to the kind of guy who has a lot of past

then again Ferraris aren't meant for the young $$$ .... So ....
