Just saw your pictures, DJ. Looked like a nice event. So what kinds of comments did you guys get for bringing a couple of euro cars?

I was there with Dana and Bob O. and the interest in and comments about the Ferrari's was very enthusiastic and people were really interested in them. Lot of good comments from teenagers and many mothers wanted their kids pictures taken in the Yeller 308.......then one mother got in for her picture. It was great fun with a lot of great cars.

Both the cars were magnets and drew high interest. It didn't matter that they weren't hotrods or customs. Everybody loved them except the chick from Park Place that asked if we wanted to sell them. We told her what we wanted for our cars and she said, "In your dreams" to which I countered, "Obviously we don't want to sell them very bad".

The TR drews stares of wonderment with open jaws.

Most of the people that show up at that show are "car people". They know these are Ferraris but don't know much about them. I'm always happy to answer questions because the people there in general really appreciate them.

My yellow sign out front and placard on the rear tonneu helped alot.

I think any exoctic that would have shown up would have been welcomed and appreciated. It's all about the love of automobiles.

It's fun to go to an event when you are one of the few exotics at the show. You get great comments and attention. I took my 308 to a show last fall in Walla Walla. People would be swarming the car. And the comments were amazing. The legend of the Ferrari name also carries this fantastic mystique that some of us owners have forgot because we know more about the truth. For instance did you know that a 308 has a top speed of 180 mph and cost over a $100K. I agree that the car looks like that, but we know the truth.

BTW, like your sign Dana. I have been thinking about doing the same for some time. To educate people on these rarely seen cars is a great reason to have a sign made.
