    Officially no.

Unofficially, the count seems to be 9:1 in favor of the F-1's. It's ridiculous.

    I think I remember hearing something like 80% F1, 20% 6 speed

I recently had a 2003 575 with a 6 speed offered to me from Central Florida. They informed me that the ratio of these cars are 20% having 6 speeds to f-1's. They felt a 6 speed is less marketable and could be picked up for a little less than an F1. I personally feel the opposite. As we hear more and more about the newer F1 Ferraris being dragged onto the flat beds stuck in gear more people will lose thier desire to have the F1 I think.

If you look at a recent post in the T&A sectioon, you can read about a 360 owner who had to have his dragged in gear on and off the truck in gear. You can pull on the paddles all you want, it doesn't get it out of gear for most of them. A real bummer.

I'm very happy with the F1 on my Stradale. That said, I wonder whether, in the longer run, 6 speed Maranellos will trade for more than F1s, because of comparative rarity and cost of maintenance. I've even thought about ordering a 6 speed 575 on the theory that Ferrari soon will make only F1 cars.

I would think that could very well happen someday that a 575 6 speed could be a rarity compared to the total number of 575's out there, and if and when someday everyone starts avoidiong the F-1 trans like the plague due to maintenance costs, you might have something desirable.

I think the premium on a used 6 speed will be similar to the 400 series cars comparing a manual to an automatic. Probably a $5k difference in the future, in favor of the manual.

I have always been of the opinion that a true driver, in a true drivers car, shifts the gears themself. In other words, the manual shift has always seemed to be more 'correct' for me.

Agreed, the argument made more forceful in our case by the lovely "clinking" of the Ferrari shifter. I must admit, however, we are heading into dangerous territory by opining against the F-1-ers... :D

Let me just say, 575 6-speed feels completely different than a 575 F1.
Driving in a 6-speed 575, I could really feel the power difference between the 550/575.

It seems the 6-speed is putting all the power down, when the F1 is missing some? Just my opinion b/w the two, but I would take the 6-speed hands down, that 2nd gear felt amazing!
