any source for non-Ferrari branded iron brake rotors for 575 ? both front and rear. this is the other thread: https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/front-brake-rotor.502127/ but I wasn't sure if 550 and 575 uses the same rotors. I am not interest in BBK. just want a plain rotors if possible. if anyone has a Brembo part number, that would be perfect. thanks.
thanks !! that probably is now the only non-OE source. here is what I've found for front rotors. OE Part Numbers: FERRARI 169765 Competitor Part Numbers: FERODO DDF1074, BREMBO 09.6802.20 though both seem to be discontinued. there is a BDS5670, that should work, but only states compatibility on vendor sites, not Brembo https://www.bremboparts.com/europe/en/catalogue/ferrari-5-maranello-550/000005732-1 https://www.ferodo.com/catalogue/4739/ferodo/premier/braking/brake-disc/ddf1074.pd.html only thing I have on rear rotor is BDS5671. it also seem like it is the same rotors for Maserati 3200/4300. https://www.sportsmaserati.co.uk/index.php?threads/3200-4200-brake-discs-a-possible-solution.3035/page-3
550 and 575M rotors are identical. Calipers are the same, too, except for one piston size on the rear caliper. Pads, too, are identical. Fronts are easy to find, but rears with their drums are much harder to find. Luckily, they wear much, much more slowly than the fronts.
William, I am using stock rear discs and Girodisc fronts. I am very happy with the Girodisc 2 piece rotor and hat design. They are not full floating but could be with different pins and bobbins. For a streetcar you don't need the floaters. The girodisc uses the stock calipers. I'm running carbotech pads like 12 and 10's. They don't make much more noise than oem pads and work great for the once a year trackday and they work cold for the street.
hi, Carl: Girodisc is too rich for my blood !! ones I post above is ~$400 for a PAIR !! you are the first I've heard that says XP12/XP10 aren't loud. I've used Carobotech/g-loc last 10 years, on 95% of track cars I've used. while they are great on track (brake release is the best of all pads). They are LOUD on street.....
Guess that means no interest in Mov'It ceramics. No dust, no squeal, bottomless well of braking power. Rotors never wear out with street use.
Well...I'm old and deaf. I play the radio loud. My A/C works and my windows are always rolled up. Your Mileage May Vary!!!! Honestly I run XP20's on the vette stoptech calipers and stoptech trophy floating rotors. I really can't say there is any noise...on the vette anyway. I do get some squeal in the 550 but I really don't notice it with the windows up and radio on.
