Thank you, that was a pleasant read. Takes me back to when I was younger and would read Forza in my spare time....musing and dreaming about these wonderful machines.
Dont remember exaclty, but it looked nice, with a Bordeaux/red interior. Didnt notice a dash warpage. It was later in the afternoon and i has been dragging my 8 year old around for nearly 3 hours. Last sunday it wasnt parked in the greatest location either. Just off to the side and somewhat on its own. Plus I was there with a free pass from the FCA, so i wasn't digging into too many cars, just enjoying the scenery.. Im making a Mecum thread on the regional board..
This 2600 mile 2004 gated may set a high water mark! https://bringatrailer.com/listing/2004-ferrari-575m-maranello-13/#comments
That is definitely a nice one. That diamond pattern on the roof and shelf are not in the option list unless you knew someone.
Already at $306k with 11 days left! It is a beautiful car. Not a big fan of black interiors but the six speed and quilting help! Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
The high bidder is a “no joke” kind of guy….look at his history. If that guy wants it he will get it…..
Well I was thinking of bidding but man, this could go really high. Now if it was a Blu NART or TDF over Cuio I would have to jump in! Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
+1. Based on plenty of clues in his comments over time, I know who he is and he is a billionaire. I predict he will win, and it will sell for $575k. Because why not.
$525k would be my max. LOL!! I guess I’ll just wait for another one. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
It’s only 1’s and zeros’s…..I guess….when wealth is so significant. God bless America? BaT is fascinating from the ease of tracking what some of these very heavy hitters are buying. It’s hard to say what a nice optioned almost new 6MT 575 is worth….the air is getting thin for sure….super heavy hitters only at this point
I know RD will say... who cares its their money, but still i see this as a sad point to all the potential and none of the reality of this cars potential. Low mileage time capsules are interesting, but its still a car capable of doing the exact opposite of what its accomplished so far
The market movement continues to Suprise and entertain. Since we own already I guess let the market go to the moon but it would be really fun to buy an F1 enjoy it and then convert it. Maybe pricing will never come back to a level of what I personally consider “reasonable”. i can’t imagine a situation where I would sell my 550 while I’m still alive so the values entertain me but won’t dictate the “hold period” for my existing Maranello.
Big gulf between US values and European ones right now on these cars (which of course are European cars). At some stage, they will equalise, but in which direction, who knows.
Agreed. I can’t imagine a scenario where mine would ever be for sale. For me it’s not even about the cost to acquire…it was about the perfect one to acquire….with under a thousand cars and my “desired options”, and mods, it was almost impossible to get what I wanted. I’m extremely grateful my cars prior owner was emotionally ready to let it go to me after I think he had it for 12 or so years. I’m 49….I bet my total ownership will be 25 years…. It’s good that everyone has different views of what’s important to them….that very low mile 6MT 575 on BaT right now…to me is shocking….not what I want but clearly is for others.
