I own a '04 575 and drive it nearly every day. I have noticed the dash leather is separating. Has anyone else experienced this problem and what can I do to fix it?

Leather shrinking on the upper dash and airbag covers is quite common on 550/575 models. For repair I would contact a Ferrari restoration facility for the name of a reputable upholstery shop in your area. Routine leather maintenance with products such as Griot's Leather Care will help prolong this problem along with UV protection when not garaged. Check out Covercraft's UV Heat Shield...http://www.covercraft.com/windshield_heat_shield.htm. The model for your car is UV10903.

Dealers view out of warranty cars as their primary revenue opportunity as they are paid much less from Ferrari for under warranty repairs.

My 575M dash has started to pull at the top right side of the instrument binnacle.

mine started in the middle. it is now all the way across. it is very noticeable when looking in the front window. if your sitting in the car you cannot see it.

I have owned several 550/575's and had to do the dash on 2 of them..Very common, should run about $2K maybe a little more or less depending on who you use. The dash's have so little leather on othem that any shrinkage causes this issue..

Go to someone that has done many--MANY--not 1.

My '03 had it. My dealer sent it to a local shop which replaced the leather. Did a great job but not cheap.
