    Hi,

I am very happy today because my Tubi exhaust has just arrived in Singapore. Going there tomorrow to pick it up and hopefully install it by this weekend. I bought it from Euro Rev in Los Angeles. Btw, JonTezta (from Hong Kong) sells 575 Tubi exhaust at much cheaper price.

I really love my 575. However, the sound from the stock exhaust sounded wimpy. So hopefully, this will rectify that problem for good. I wonder how the sound will compare to a 599 with stock exhaust? Hmmm...only one way to find out......

575 tubi is plenty loud for a GT car. You'll also get a bit of popping that you don't get with the stock exhaust. Its nice but not over the top.

Finally got the time to install the Tubis (just muffler and tips). Didn't get to hear much yet but the sound was not what I had hoped for. I was hoping for more of a higher pitched 599 or 430 shriek. This was kind of deeper rumble than the stock. Not very loud and a little bit like an American V8 to me. :(

I wonder if you guys experienced the same thing? Will the sound change over time?

My experience with V8s and Porsche 6s is that combining the banks with an x-pipe results in a higher pitch exhaust sound. You might try that to see if it sounds more like what you want.

The V12 is never going to sound like a 355 at 8500 RPM! :)

There are two types of 575 Tubi, one has the silencers (mufflers) at the end of the tailpipes, this is the 'quiet' Tubi, not really worth buying as it is not very different to the stock exhaust. The other type is a 'straight through' Tubi system which just has the tips and two long pipes. This is how the car was meant to sound!

I only got the mufflers. And I agree that the Tubi's sound is very low key. But I think that for most of the time, the sound is ok for me.

Have you heard Kressieg's exhaust on a Countach (in Youtube too)? It sounded really like an F1 car. Amazing!

I think a lot of people reading this forum who have fitted Tubi's have been disappointed with the result. I fitted a pair of back boxes but was not happy with the result. The interior boom was the worst aspect. I then bit the bullet and fitted a complete X-OST system now my V12 sounds like a V12 should sound! I chose to have valves fitted on my inner outlets which reduces some of the noise on tickover which is fine...but when you open it up you get the result you want. And turn heads!!

Hendra- If your 575M is a 2002 or 2003, it comes with a central muffler that dampens the exhaust note pretty heavily. For MY 2004, at Assembly Number 51797, Ferrari eliminated the central muffler and went to straight pipes and a different rear muffler as seen in this drawing. Have a really good muffler shop replace the central muffler with straight stainless steel pipes and your Tubi should sound fine. Even the stock exhaust sounds fine with the central muffler gone.
