This thing is very impresive looking. I'd like to know more about it as not much is ever said about the car. Anybody know pricing info on any recently sold units or performance specs? Thanks.

I know Prodrive wound up dropping the car for the Aston Martin as they found it to be a better platform. Great looking car but not too competitive these days.

This car is the GTC, not sure where the Evo comes from. It is the presentation version in flat back (the inspiration to my 355CH being painted flat black). The car was competitively raced by several teams, most known the ProDrive team in England. They indeed switched from the 550 and later 575GTCs to the Aston DBR9. Why, probably because Aston gave them a deal on the car itself and liekly better factory support, them being a top engineering organization and Aston being a British car manufacturer.

The funny thing, between both of those cars it is almost a toss up as far as which car is sexier. Personally the Aston wins over the 575GTC but it is a close call. I guess I have to own both to be happy in life. :D

unfortunately Ferrari does not put too much support behind their GT programs.

    Hi Jon
The car is known as the 575GTC. It has no association with Prodrive (who developed and built a 550 race version), as it was built by N Technology for Ferrari Corse Clienti. It has a 5997cc 65degree V12 producing 605bhp; a sequential gearbox; and composite bodywork. No performance figures were produced by Ferrari but it won first time out (Babini & Peter - Estoril 2003) and 15 examples (chassis nos. between 2101 and 2224) have actually raced.

GT1 cars will be heavier by 2010

    (perhaps less crazy materials)

    ...a standard ECU...

The GT1 category will be reserved for models with engines above 5.5L. The manufacturers or tuners will be able to choose between homologation at 650bhp/1300kg or 600bhp/1250kg.
The GT2 category will be reserved for cars with engines under 5.0L. The manufacturers or tuners will be able to choose between homologation at 500bhp/1250kg or 450bhp/1200kg.
For cars with engines between 5.0L and 5.5L, the manufacturers or tuners will be able to choose homologation in either GT1 or GT2.

The 575 GTC Evoluzione was shown around early 2005. Two raced in the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring in 2004. Price is likely over $850,000.

    Correct!!

Ferrari waited for Richards to rund his stable of 550's prior to building their own 575 GTC's.

The last 550 Pro Drive that I am aware of sold for $600,000 USD about 6 months ago with a comprehensive spares package.

Around the second half of the FIA GT series in 2004 ,Ferrari and N.Technology, provided the topteams (JMB,GPC,Kessel)with an "EVO" update package.
Differences not only on the remapping of the ecu's but also some aerodynamic things...like different front splitter, rear diffusor, brake and tyre air intake's (6 openings)on the rear fender. Also some new suspension set-up's..

    regards
