I have the matt black too. But I also want the red and the yellow. Can't wait for them to come out here in the states. Kyoshos are the only models that would buy in more color than one from the same model.

These weekends in Europe are quite popular and there are like heaven on earth for any die-cast collector. I have only been to one in Merano, Italy. I was stunned from all the models and mainly from all the people. You could not even walk around. Such a huge crowd. Die cast in EU is taken a lot more seriously than here in the states.

I've been watching eBay for the red version of this model, as I really want to add it to my collection, but I haven't seen any go up yet.
The matte black one is pretty cool, it's different, but i keep my collection monochromatic (ie, all in red), and I want it to fit in.
Does anyone already have one in red?

I think red is coming in October. Cavallino Models said they were getting some, so I'm sure they'll post when they do. I saw a yellow one on ebay last week... can't be long now...

Thanks for the 4-1-1, nopassn. October would work out perfectly.
I haven't added anything to my collection since the 599...it's about time!

The 599 was the last model that is currently in production that I added to my collection as well. I've seen the elite 125 floating around on ebay, and been contemplating that... anyone got one?

It's tempting me as well, but I run into the same limitation as with the 575 GTC: it ain't red. If I'm not mistaken, the original Tipo 125 was burgundy as on the model, so making one in a brighter shade of red wouldn't be correct either, so it's a shame that i'll have to leave it out, as historically important as the 125 is to the badge.

But I had the same thing with the HW 250 California, which they originally produced in burgundy, then the "showcase" version in blue. Didn't they recently turn one out in red? I only saw it with the 60th anniversary decals, which didn't seem to interest me, personally. I have the Tonka-Polistil version, but the scale is off and the detailing is practically non-existent.

There is actually a real 1:1 car of the 125S in rosso corsa. So if I was you I would get a basic 125S for cheap(the one that comes with the 60th decals) and just remove the decals. However if you really want a good model, then I would buy the Elite also and take both of them apart and use all the detail from the Elite with just the red body from the regular model. Just the price of the real wire wheels is worth the money.

Interesting suggestion, lucky_13_2002. I'm not so competent in disassembling and modding my models - i've got a HW 360 Spider sitting in parts 'cause I wanted to install a different front end but got stuck - so i'm not sure i'm going to do that, but thanks for the idea just the same.
