$357 seems a big price for 575 but the key is that the very car was sold through RM Sotheby's in June 2016 with 4 511 miles for even bigger number - $462 000
Looks like you are right, Jimmie. In which case, that's a beefy price for a car with no records, manual low mileage notwithstanding.
Have you seen this one? RHD, 30K miles, £190K. https://hexagonclassics.com/cars/ferrari-575m-maranello-rhd-2003/
Very nice, and on pi*tonheads there is another one next to the hexagon car with similar price and miles, but a, well, different interior combo. Interesting that 5 of the 27 575s on that list are manuals.
The actual number was 69 UK RHD, but Maranello Concessionaires was the worldwide distributor for RHD Ferraris up until they were bought out right about the end of 575M production. In this case, I think that is probably the total number of RHD 3 pedals. 575M Production Numbers Total Production: 2064 of which 246 were Manual (11.9%) UK RHD Total: 251, of which 69 were Manual (27.5%) ROW: 1814, of which 177 were Manual (9.8%) US Production: 02: 208, 03: 167, 04: 127 05 235 (575M and Superamerica Combined) 575M First and Last Built First: 123761, US 126969 Last: 141817 US, 141822 Euro
Very useful. I had always wondered about this point on the "A Guide to Ferrari Road Cars" published by Maranello (UK vs ROW RHD) in 2002 & 2005 etc. Thanks for clearing this one up.
This one looks interesting: very low mileage, with 1 867 km only, auctioning by Bonhams in Monaco, May 11th. Chassis no. ZFFBT55B000127860. Estimated 240 000-280 000 EUROS; Strangely, no description on the website. Does anyone here know this car? https://www.bonhams.com/auctions/24953/preview_lot/5160237/?category=list&length=50&page=1
I believe this is the Swiss car that was sold by Elite Zuswil for 130,000 Swiss Francs in March 2015 and flipped and resold again via JD Classics in the UK for an asking £215,000 in August 2015. Will be able to tell for sure when they post more details.
Terry when you post the US production the 2005 number do you have any idea what the coupe and superamerica split is? So in total we know 737 575's came to the US, well significantly less but we don't know the specific number of coupes and superamericas right? Do we assume a similar 10% of them were manuals like the overall production figures? Just trying to gauge the total number of 575's in the US and how many are F1 vs manual.
I'm going to Monaco Historic Grand Prix for that weekend and that would be interesting to pop in to Grimaldi Forum and see what's a trend for Maranellos in Europe. I understand that most of the offers for previous year were sold or withdrawn and currently we have few offers with: Mo Vendi, Germany - with 29 500km but not good service history with prise dropped from 209 500 to 159 000 EUROS; VDM Cars, Germany - with 82 710 km with price dropped from 215 500 to 162 000 EUROS; and some more RHD's in the UK with: Howard Wise Cars - with 34 697 ml with price dropped from £209 995 to £189 995; Hawthorns - with 28 000 ml for £189 500; I might miss something, you are welcome to refresh the list
Nope, do not know the split or i would have posted it. If you assume 28% of the SAs came to the US of the 559 built, that would be 156 US SAs, 79 05 575Ms, but that is just a WAG. Superamerica Production Numbers Total Production: 559 of which 39 were Manual (7.0%) UK RHD Total: 63 of which 6 were Manual (9.5%) ROW: 496 of which 33 were Manual (6.7%) US Production 2005: 235 (575M and Superamerica)
Full description on their website now: https://www.bonhams.com/auctions/24953/lot/121/?category=list&length=100&page=1 I don't see any point buying a car like this: imagine the depreciation if you actually DROVE it!!
Interesting to note that there is a 550 in the same auction, with similar mileage, estimated at around half the figure for the 575. Draw whatever conclusions you can from that!
