Wow I drove for a couple of hours after picking it up for a major at the dealer. My car isn’t equipped with Daytona seats so don’t know if they are any better. There was no way I could get comfortable in the seat. I’m 6’-3” and the “bolster” below the headrest protrudes against my shoulders and upper back. This forced my back to curve into the seat back to try and conform with the center section. It breaks my heart. I’m going to try putting a piece of heavy foam filler in the center to see if it helps. Hopefully this will help but what a shame. I have an older 911 and it is very comfortable and I have no hesitation driving it long distances. I’m starting to think that unless you’re 5’9” with a size 9 shoe, forget it. Makes me wonder if this is the reason why the previous 10 owners only averaged 770 miles a year. Maybe they drove it and parked it. Hate to think it will end up being garage art. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

You need the 550 Daytona seats. They are the best

You can be 6’7 and fit just fine in the 550 Daytona seats

I wear normal width shoes and it’s 3 cat whiskers thinner than the space between the tunnel and the brake pad. I normally take off my right shoe.

my Daytona is on the floor and I’m not quite 6’ and I look out the very top of the windshield. I’m not sure how tall guys do it….?….scoot forward and then tilt the seat back at an angle?

I tried all possible positions to make it work. Moved the seat far forward just before hitting my knees against the dash. Ended up holding onto the steering wheel to support myself. I haven’t given up yet. Found new Recaro’s for $1,300 each but would need to reupholster to match the tan interior. Not sure what it would take to adapt or if it’s even possible. Not sure how much it would cost to reupholster them either.

You just gotta drive it a lot and the seat will break in and the foam will go down and mold to you

Does anyone know if 456 seats work in a 575? They look more comfortable than mine do.

Thanks for that. I noticed that the seat belt is integrated into the seat. Is this something that can be adapted or eliminated?

The whole unit comes together you just take the seat of one and put it in your car.

Thanks! So I am clear. I would use the complete assembly with the seat belts that are integrated within the 456 seats and swap them out? My concern is that I would have the original 575 seat belt mechanism plus the integrated seat belt in the 456 seats. Or do you mean take the cushions out of the 456 seats and swap them for my cushions?

16 year in, my seats fit fine. But then 5'7" and 165 lbs. Helped in old fighters, too, but at 150 lbs.

Its a rare Ferrari that fits a tall person well. Terry is much more the size most are designed for. As a group Italians are not tall. At 5-10 I feel like I am as big as can fit comfortably in most of them.

It may not be meaningful enough relief, but did you adjust the bolster width at all using the roller on the right side of the driver's seat? I find the seat to be super comfortable and I'm 6' w/ broad shoulders.

The stock Maranello seats suck. They might work if the foam was like memory foam and gave a bit. I hear Daytona seats are much better. I know Daytona seats in a Daytona are great.

Daytona are really just different inserts though... nothing is structurally different? I have Daytona's in mine... maybe they are slightly more supportive, but I can't imagine it's a different world.

I think Daytona seats (real Daytona seats) suck no matter what car they are in. The so called Daytona seats in all later cars are not shaped like the seats in a real Daytona. It was an appearance thing only.

Everyone is different. Designing car seats has to be a difficult nearly no win job. Someone is going to hate every seat ever made.

I hated my Daytonas in the 575. I swapped to 360 Sport seats which are much better. The Daytonas felt overly plush and under-supportive and 'sat' far to high. My line of site was nearly at the top of the windshield.
