First off, GREAT thread....I'm boning up on 550/575 info as I am wading (albeit slowly) into the pool of 550/575 ownership and this forum has been outstanding.

Second, in my research I am learning that my "ideal" would be a TdF blue or Azzurro California 575 over tan hides with the FHP or GTC package AND a manual. Does such a thing even exist? I am hearing that the 575 without the handling packages are a bit wallowy compared with the 550s. [Personally I prefer the 550s more aggressive styling but the extra goodies in the 575 and the 40 extra horses go a long way to overriding the cost differential. Please no hate mail, you 550 owners :) ]

Can anyone enlighten me on how many manual 575s were produced with the handling packages? Also, if I were to come across one that met my basic specs (575 with a manual that is, in the colors I am focused upon) can I have a package added after the fact, or is that too late?

    All suggestions welcome.

And now back to your regularly scheduled programming...

The sticks are something like 10% to 15% of the cars overall, and the FHP's are maybe 25%, others would know better. However, finding the combination together is not unheard of, just pretty rare.

TDF is more common than Azzuro, the latter will be virtually impossible to find in a stick with FHP, I think.

The best course of action may be to find a TDF and tan car with a stick as you like it (this will take time but should be possible) then upgrade it yourself to FHP. The GTC upgrade is also possible but may not be economically feasable.

Finally, try using various combinations of terms in the 'Search' function to read up and glean more data.

    Good luck!

As said, it is possible to find what you want if you are patient and ready to move.

So,....if I am understanding correctly, one CAN get a GTC or FHP package added after the fact? Please correct if I am off-base here.

Also, can someone enlighten me on the differences between the FHP and GTC packages and what the relevant cost differentials are?

    thanks all

    After Market FHP ~10K
    After Market GTC ~40K

Big difference in cost are the CCB's.

Personally, I would rather the FHP and will be converting my car soon.

I'm looking for a 550 and I was contacted by someone regarding an 02 575, 6-speed, FHP for sale. The color was Grigio Alloy with gun metal interior. It also had the shields. He was located in the SF area. The car seemed like a good one, but Grigio Alloy is kind of a blue silver and not my preference. If there is interest I can try to find the email address. The seller may also be a member here. Mark

I think that the grigio alloy car is Lowell's "Lstraus" and is as you describe.

Ferrrari SF ordered a few 575's in this color, and there are at least two F1s floating around locally. It looks great with the dark blue interior.

Yes, it was Lowell. It sounds like a good one, just not my preference. Mark

I think the CCBs are a Eu25.000.00 option

Is there photos of the car?
