***** Seems to be a recurring topic. Maybe I'm not calculating correctly but by total US 575 import and ROW % manual, the US manual import ~57(?). IIRC, the usual number for US manual import ~80(?).
Odd situation last week. DeLorean needed to be at the track for an event with an early call time and I could not swing it. So after spending 1k+ miles in the DMC the weekend before, a buddy took it the 350+ mile drive the night before to the track. The following morning at 5am I followed suit in the 575. The 575M saw a 700+ mile trip in a single day. That trip was an average cruise speed of 85+ mph; hit 160+ ; 350+ miles per tank; rain; 35 degree temp variance and the car was flawless. Multiple conference calls held on the trip. At one point was on a dirt road with wooden bridge. Left at 5am - did work - got home at 10pm. Was not sore after the drive. Not many cars can pull all of the above off. This thing can CRUSH continents. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I have not compared Vin numbers, but I think I just bought this car on BAT! Thanks for documenting all of the upgrades. I am sure I am going to enjoy this car and I will enjoy making it my project.
You are in the right place! Excited for you to check in with us. You will have some great times with this evolved 575!
Congrats! This is a great driver's GT car. The vin is unforgettable, ends in 6969 (insert middle-school laugh). Couple points: 1. Get the big Brembo kit (front and rear) to drop rotational weight and stop. HRE will clear all of the options. 2. If you want more power and for it to be LOUD, grab some 550 Maranello exhaust manifolds.
Congrats and welcome aboard. This is a great and very knowledgeable forum. It truly adds to what will a wonderful ownership experience with this wonderful car.
White Out (Nick), Thanks for the suggestions, I value your advice given what you have accomplished so far! Do you have a website or You Tube link to see what you have done or are doing? Also, the video with the sound of the new exhaust has been removed or discontinued. Is their a link to that video somewhere else? Thanks, Rich
This thread is going to have the most information on the 575M build. My website is reidperformance.com
I have suggested a sticky for listing “epic threads” and yours is definitely one of them. Are you doing a thread or mods on the Ford GT?
FGT is getting some attention - I'll update when it is done. I have been spending a lot of time on the Murci and recently finished the development for Murci coilovers. Two-way coilovers with the ability to go lower than the factory suspension and are plug and play with factory nose lift. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Oooh, Penske dampers! Serious coinage for the best there is. We'll miss seeing your excellent 575M updates here, but look forward to updates on your new machines on other forums. Cheers!
