What obstacles would there be to either update the clutch system (think 360F1 vs 430 Scud) or moving to a complete more modern PDK type transmission ? Effectively going in the other direction from a manual conversion

I understand that a well adjusted F1 is absolutely fine but the idea here is almost more of a Singer 575M keeping the engine body etc and limited electronic intervention of the original car

    Thoughts anyone ?

Update the clutch system? Define update.

If you want a PDK buy a car that has one.

Lots. And lots. And lots of dollars. Totally unfeasible.

ECU/TCU update from Trev was transformative. Every much the match of a CS or 430 system

Not sure what the issues are with 575 clutch but my "manual" clutch still wasn't slipping when It was replaced at 100k miles.

In the real world there is no issue. Same clutch that has been used in the 12cyl cars since the 512TR in 1992 and is a very robust piece.
