I imagine that prices of 575s droped a little in the past few months.True?!
Well, I know the whole market quite slowed down somehow in 2020, but I guess prices of 575s R noticeably less compared to 2019.
I am a happy owner of one my self, love my white beauty, enjoying having it, and not thinking about selling it at the moment, but I guess U can't help it checking on the market every now and then:D
And frankly I think there R quite a lot offered for sale world wide at the moment.
Am I right? Or not comparing properly to other cars in market?
If so, any Ideas about what the reason maybe?

    Hey @mathewr
    Sorry for late respond.
It is a GCC car. Very similar I imagine to European.
Sure, I will share one more.

Thank you, it’s rare to see a white 575.

To answer the OP, yes I think prices are down on 575. Seems regular miles are going in the $80’s based on what other f-chatters are saying they are finding. Special color combos and later years may be going slightly higher.

I think it’s mainly due to many more cars under or around $100k competing for dollars. Buyers have even more choices.

575 are great because they are lower production numbers and many small improvements over 550. But still more maint than newer offerings in that competition price range.

What I see in Europe (and specifically France) is that now the 575 prices have dropped to be at the same level as 550 ones, even though the 575 are more recent (and often have lower mileage).
I think for the 575 the issue is that its better performance has become irrelevant since both 550 and 575 are now completely outperformed by modern cars - so the buyers of a 550 or 575 are not really interested in performance (they'd look at other cars for that) .
On the other hand, when one looks at an outdated car, the manual gearbox of the 550 (since most 575 have the F1 system) has more charms...
    As a non representative example, in 2006 I switched from a 550 to a 575 F1 (and I did not regret it) - but today I'm looking at buying again a 550, not a 575.

My 575 was originally specified to be painted white but the original owner demanded it be painted at the factory Orange. Reluctantly Ferrari agreed and the rest is history. The only orange 575 in the world. Not everyones taste but I like it.

There seems to be few other issues also but price is valid for current market since its public.

Being LHD there is still some months time to move it to some EU country before it gets stuck in UK at end of year in case of no deal Brexit. As far as I know if there is no deal tax of 10% customs and VAT of 17-27% needs to be paid to get this one or any other UK car into EU plates. It will be interesting to see how LHD prices are affected in UK. Many LHD owners might not have thought about this or ever realized this will happen in case of no deal.

Please kindly stop the conciliatory tone about the color of your car.

    The color is awesome.

    This represents my perspective.

I set out wanting a 575, even made offers on a couple but it was when I drove a manual 575 that I started looking at 550's (I can't afford a manual 575) that's the moment I realised how different these cars were. I don't mean mechanically, I mean aesthetically. I'm looking at buying one of these for the look, the enjoyment of driving a manual and the analogue gauges and cleaner more simple interior. The 575 is without doubt a mechanically superior car, but the "upgrades" and "improvements" from the 550 changed the car quite materially, not one huge change, just lots of tiny changes that when combined make it quite a different vehicle.

In hindsight this was the point when the front engined V12 stepped from an analogue world into an electronic world. The 575 was the first generation electronic V12 that was taken to an entirely different level in the 599.

The 550 was really the last analogue V12 (despite it having it's fair share of ECU's). It is also prettier than the 575 (I don't know why exactly, it just is).

So like you, I want a 550 and it has nothing to do with performance.

Thanks Ralf, Laser & Taz for your support of the Orange beast. I will try to be less "conciliatory" with my comments. (apologies Ralf). IMO all Maranello's 550 and 575's are special in any colour. Such a wonderful, graceful and yet clever styling. Making it one of the best 12 cylinder Ferrari's of the analogue error IMO. Only the enlightened know this to be true.
