    Hi My Fellow Ferrari Owners,

I have a 2002 575M and I am looking for the relay and fuse box cover that is missing on my car. This cover is found on the relay and fuse box that is located in the driver's footwell behind the kick panel. It is shown on the 575M parts diagram Table 134 in phantom and the label, Item 39, shown on the same Table 134 attaches to it. While Item 39 is listed as an available part, the cover that I need is not. I have no idea why it is missing on my car and I was wondering if it wasn't there in the first place? I contacted Daniel at Ricambi and he said it is not available as a separate part and to contact Exotic Auto Recycling in California. I did that and they did not have it either. I also contacted Eurospares in the UK and while they had a 575M for breaking, they did not have the cover. I send a message to Ferrparts as well since they also part out Ferraris, but I have not heard back from them yet. Do any of you either know where I can find that cover or know of another possible source for this obscure part? Many thanks for your assistance.

Thank you for the lead. I will e-mail them and see if they can assist. My dealer has tried to locate the part number of the wiring harness that has this fuse and relay box, but has not found the right one yet. I am willing to purchase the entire harness just for this cover! We thought we had the correct part number and we actually had the folks at the Ferrari factory check it, but it turned out to be the ECU harness. Would any of you be able to check your 575 to see if there is a part number tag on your wiring harness? It would sure help to solve this mystery. Also, Steve, once I found out anything, I will post here. Thanks a lot.

I think its called GT Cars in Phoenix area. They have many parts, but it may pay to go thru one of the independent repair people there.

Go to GTCP.com I don't see a 575 there which surprises me. It still might be worth a shot.

I sent an e-mail message to Cheval Case (Broken Horse!) today asking about the cover and I included Table 134 of the 575 parts book that shows this cover in phantom. Let's see if I get an answer. In the meantime, I will have my dealer check that part number, Steve. Thanks very much for finding that for me. I will report back on what I find out.

After almost 15 months of dead ends, lost shipments, frustration and what seemed like a Don Quixote quest, I finally found my 575 fuse box cover. I contacted Cheval Casse in France and Philippe Concher, the proprietor, had three of these covers! Yeah! My search looked to be over at last. So, in September of 2016, I ordered two of these covers with the intention of keeping one and sending Steve the other one. Well, as they say, the road to Ferrari parts hell is paved with good intentions. I waited and waited and waited for these two covers to arrive. Three months went by, but no covers. I checked with US Customs, the US Post Office at JFK airport in NY, where air shipments from Europe come in, and no one could find where this package was. Turns out that instead of sending the parts by FedEx, Philippe sent them by LaPoste, the French Post Office. According to the LaPoste website, the package was shipped to the US and could not be delivered for who knows what reason. So, the idiots returned the package to LaPoste regional office 33, where, apparently, it still sits almost 5 months after it was shipped. I don't know who is more incompetent, the US Post Office who couldn't find me here or LaPoste, who made no effort to deliver it. I was so frustrated with the waiting. Every day, I would check the mail to see if my parts arrived and every day the same result - nothing. Philippe offered to refund my money, but I said no. I wanted that last cover he had and since a friend of his, Remy Hanot was going to be coming to the US to Cavallino in January, I requested that he bring the cover with him and ship it to me via FedEx - no more Post Office for me. Well, I never received that cover either. My business with Cheval Case is not done, but here is the good news. I continued to try other sources for this elusive cover. My parts manager at my dealer was still trying to source it from Ferrari, but that was a very expensive proposition, if we could even locate the correct harness. I also contacted Eurospares, since they appeared to be parting out a couple 575s. But, they never answered my numerous inquiries. So, I got inspired and just searched on-line for Ferrari wiring harnesses, which led me to a website Partsrequest.com. Bingo! I hit paydirt, in a way. It turns out that there a a lot of Ferrari harnesses on there. I searched for ones that had little fuse boxes on them and tried to figure out if they were the same ones that the 575 used. I found a couple 360 wiring harnesses that had fuse boxes and one 456 harness that appeared to have a small fuse box identical in size to the 575 fuse box. The neat thing was all these potential candidates were being offered by Ferrparts. So, I called and spoke with Punu. I had talked with him about a year earlier looking for this cover and, while they had the 575 wiring harness with the fuse box on it, they did not have the cover for it. I gave Punu the part numbers of the harnesses I had found and asked if he would check the covers and see if they fit the 575 box. Turns out the 360 covers were too short, but the 456 cover DID FIT!!! Punu let me just buy the cover for $30!! The whole harness was $2000. Needless to say, I was ecstatic. The harness was for the 456 dash and was part number 188135. Punu sent it right out, but that package also almost never arrived, but UPS was good and fixed the problem with my address and it did arrive safely! Now that I finally had the cover, I needed to get the correct label for it. For that, I went to my trusty pal at my dealer and he ordered me two of them. These labels were in Italy and the stock system showed there were 24 available. After a month and a half, I got the labels and very carefully removed the 456 label and put the 575 label on. It went on perfectly, with no wrinkles or bubbles. That is why I ordered two. Murphy's law being what it is, if I had only ordered one, I am sure I would have screwed it up! So, that is the saga of my search - successful search in the end - for my fuse box cover. I am a proud papa and here is a picture of my baby.

That is great, Steve. Glad you found the cover. Sometimes, I wind up taking the more arduous route, which makes the final outcome even more satisfying!
