    Hi all.
I'm a long time lurker here.
I'm giving serious thought to buying either a new 599 or 612.
    I'm 53 and currently drive a Corvette.

Does anyone here know what the current lead times are for the 599 and 612?
I live in New Jersey and was thinking that Ferrari of Central New Jersey is the dealer for my area as they are 40 miles north of me, is that true?
Do these cars sell for sticker, more or less when ordering new?

Lastly, thanks for any replies in advance.

Both can certainly be had at sticker. If you want a slightly used you can find them at a fairly reduced price as well. I would get in touch with Chris Miele over at FoCNJ, he can help you out. One of the best in the biz too.

It takes about 5 months from order to delivery and you will pay sticker. Go with the 599. My suggestion would to buy a pre-owned 599 (save $80k) see how you like it and trade up for the replacement car in a couple of years. What color do you want?

MSRP for the 2010 599 is around $350k USD for standard version and around $385k USD for HGTE. I'm not certain of the 612 but I have seen MSRP stickers on them for $359k USD. Yes, I would think you could get a Cali for MSRP, no problem there.

Been MSRP since initial orders. Nobody is getting a premium on these. Those days are over.
Indeed, pre-owned Calis with 1500 miles are being listed for MSRP. What they are selling for is an enigma.

Check with Hank Carpenter at Foreign Cars Italia. They sometimes have a 612 or two lying around. I know last year they had a brand new black OTO on the floor.

    Thanks for the answers.
If I go with a 599 some shade of red and a 612 it would be blue.

Any ideas when the replacements for the 599 and 612 are due?

The mid-300s on the 612 is going to be the One to One variety most likely, which by the way is a FANTASTIC car as well. Drives great and has a couple extra seats in the back to boot for extra space or if you have lil ones.

Ferrari dealer in Texas has a 2008 with about 2200 miles, asking $199K or offer. Blue one. Is not a glass roof OTO car.

Jack- Get a 599 if you can afford a new Ferrari, preferably an HGTE, like Hawkeye said. 2+2s like the 612 depreciate too quickly. Extremely nice and handsome cars, but you will take a huge hit as soon as you drive it off the lot. Plus the 612 still uses the 575M engine from 2002, with ECU and manifolding changes, and they still require a cambelt change every five years. The 599 has life of the car chains driving the cams with VVT on intake and exhaust cams. None on the 612.

You can pick up a good 05/06 612 for $125-150K, and it will be six-ten years before a 599 gets to that level. Prices when new were equivalent.

Two completely different driving experiences also. Power is remarkably different, handling, shifting et al. The 599 is, however, equally as comfortable and incredibly more capable in the handling department. The 612 is more accomodating with its rear seating capability though.

The engine upgrades with regards to service are very nice with the 599. I am a bigger fan of the 599's looks also as it has more curvaceous lines.

+1 on working with Chris Miele, he is a great guy! If you go used, we would love to help too.

I picked up a blue 612 a couple of months ago from Ferrari of Long Island. Went used as there are huge savings to be had. I would not buy a new 612, way too much depreciation on the 2+2 as others have noted. Give Foli a try also, they had 2 other 612's when I bought my car and also a couple of 599s. Good luck on your search.
