    Hi all,

Trying to convert a pedal box to hopefully work on a 2011 Granturismo S Auto 4.7. Have a pedal box from a Maserati Quattroporte which should be the same as the 599, 612, and Granturismo. Bought a Ferrari FF brake pedal to modify to use as the clutch pedal, because it resembles the 599/612 clutch pedal. Looked at photos of different firewalls (Granturismos, 599s, 612s) to try to determine whether it's doable. I'm trying to DIY this because of the extreme price difference between a Maserati Granturismo and a Ferrari 599 or 612.

Here are photos of the pedal box and the Ferrari pedal:

Question regarding the position of the clutch master cylinder on the 599 and 612: The firewall is indented and at an angle where the clutch master cylinder goes. Is this to clear the brake booster?
(This area of the firewall on the Granturismo is basically flat.)

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!

I don’t think there’s any particular reason for the bulkhead shape on the 612/599 where the clutch master goes. The precise alignment isn’t too critical as there is a spherical joint on the back of the clutch pedal to accommodate the alignment changing through the clutch pedal sweep.

That's great to hear, I was afraid the indent in the firewall was for clearance to the brake booster. Thanks again for your input.
