So I've noticed that the A/C in the 599 is acting weird... the driver's side is much warmer than the passenger's side. This happened before and it was the TJK valves - had them replaced that was about 2 years ago... and now the same issue. I looked in the 599 forum, and saw about a battery reset to allow the blend doors to reset.. but that has not worked.

if you set the driver's side on full cold, and it on Auto it will blow cool air but not cold. if the car sits in the sun, you have to drive quite a bit for tolerable air to come out... essentially the passenger side remains ice cold... thoughts? I'm hoping it's not a dash removal operation...

In my opinion that sounds like the blend doors in the HVAC system behind the dash are not properly opening/closing. Possibly one may be stuck causing the difference in temperature in the vents.

Do you ever hear clicking behind the dash ? This is normally what people notice first when a blend door is stuck/damaged in some way.

Just my guess hope you find it!

First get the freon checked. If it is low it will act like that.

Ding,Ding,Ding - we have a winner. I was about 2 lbs down... the Schrader valve was leaking. I filled it up, and voila! super cold A/C - thank you Wade! the valve was loose - abut 1.5 turns so got it tight...hoping that solves the problem. No issues the rest of the weekend!

Torquing the valve or the cap is not the recommended way to adress a leaky valve: the $2 valve core should be replaced.

it was a new valve ... installed by the dealer a year ago.... but if / when it leaks out again - I'll replace them. - again.
