When I let my 599 sit awhile with the alarm set, it goes off by itself after a while.
    Has anyone had this problem?

My 430 does that once maybe every 6 months. I haven't found anything obvious.

Possible one of your exterior panels is not latching completely or the microswitch is out of adjustment just enough to cause an intermittent unlatch indication.

Mine does the same and it is not after a while. Until the spring service, I lock the doors by key and bypass the alarm but then again I rarely leave it out of sight either.

Keep your battery tender plugged in when you leave your car for 3 or more days without driving. You can also have the dealership check the battery to make sure you don't need to replace it.

If you need to use a battery maintainer after only three days of sitting, there is something wrong and the current leak should be fixed. Also has nothing to do with the alarm going off.

I was suggesting that to see if it's the battery that's bad. If the alarm has no problems when plugged in, it may be time for a new battery.

I do leave my 599 plugged in when I know I won't be driving it for more than 3 days, but that's just habit. My car is still under full factory warranty. Plus, it has a new dry-cell battery.

By any chance do you have the windows cracked open when the alarm activates? On my 612 if the windows are slightly open and there is any breeze the motion sensor will activate. It is incredibly sensitive. There is a button on the roof panel that will deactivate this sensor.
