    Jodan108 found some useful stats on US Ferrari production. Will see about posting some more when I have time, but these might be interesting. No break-out of normal/HGTE or 599/HGTE/GTO in the statistics.

    Paul- Working through them, but some combined numbers for F430s and 612s (?) makes it hard. Will post when I have time. Today was IRS day and TurboTax was not working for New Mexico state returns.

    BTW, I'm a mod on another car forum and we have a function called "tachy". That's where a troll can post. He sees it, the mods see it, but no members can see it. So he thinks his dribble is being read, but it's not. I don't know if FChat has that function, but they should. ;)

    Where are these statistics from ? Is there a Ferrari corporate (ie. Ferrari North America) letter or memorandum ? I have seen many publications mention that US GTO production was 125 but would love to see a formal written Ferrari letter or memorandum to that effect. I always find these numbers interesting as limited production has more meaning when the production for the chosen Country is extremely limited. Take, for example, the 1995 512M. The total production was allegedly 500 with 75 units being US spec. We all here these numbers ad nauseum but obviously obtaining written confirmation of same from an authoritative source is highly significant. Thank you for your efforts.

    Stephen- They came from NHTSA.

    Gary- Usually about 30-40% depending on model, but that has gone down recently.

    The total production numbers of 599's that some were throwing around a while back approaching 4500 units could be a bit out of line?

    T- No, my estimate is 4000-5000 599s. As usual with a new model, people were paying $100K premiums for 599s in late 2006 and 2007. Sales had really gone down by late 2008 and early 2009, but the HGTE and GTO brought sales back up. Same trend is noted for the 612, and late 612 production was all special order, not dealer speculation inventory. We know total 612 production was 3025.

    T- The only folks that seemed able to get good numbers out of Ferrari were those at Maranello Concessionaires in the UK for their A Guide to Ferrari Road Cars pamphlets. MC was sold to Penske's parent company in the 2004/5 timeframe, broken into separate sales, service, and parts entities and good numbers have been hard to find ever since. FNA has never been much help. So we dig up dribs and drabs of numbers wherever we can.
