Yes, many including me have done it. I believe you will also need to buy the titanium bolts as the original ones are not designed for the GTO wheels and there could be safety issues ...
Ah check will order those at the dealer! Thanks voor de quick reply, just bought the wheels and will let them get powder coated from black to the dark grey color you see often on the GTO.
Make sure you do it at a company that knows what they're doing, the time and temperature cycle should be kept very short as too long and it'll change the compound of forgings making them weaker.
I purchased my set of GTO wheels and tires, mounted and balanced, from Scuderia. Bolt-on ready with GTB hardware. No issues
I bought mine for the look but I think I remember reading somewhere that the GTO wheels needed the titan bolts, I may be wrong though ...
Then a follow-up question, does anybody now the original paintcode for the GTO wheels in the dark grey color like the picture below: Image Unavailable, Please Login
Oops ... really not my taste I have to say. I am all in for modifications as long as the Ferrari spirit is there ...
The thing about these wheels is they are so expensive that you might as well go with the OEM GTO wheels which look great and are actually a little cheaper!
I have got an offer for Vossen rims from a German Vossen import dealer. 9,5+11,5x20 S21 1 piece rims (like GTO in sizes and visual) in custom color, with stress certificate for German law (TÜV) and legalized for my car with center bore for Ferrari center caps: They take about 14.500 € Perhaps 30% cheaper for you guys in the USA. Not to discuss (for me) Daniel
Agree. I went for the GTO wheels. Got them for a very decent price and they look perfect on the car ...
Oliver I saw that you also have the thicker GTO rims from Apptech, the 2nd series. Looks great on your car, I hope mine will look also as good as yours. You have no spacers, right. I will try my 22mm at the rear, hope it's not too much. @ George No, you don't need spacers. Daniel
